Ideas Academy was set up as a joint venture between IDEAS and Young Refugee Cause: a non-profit secondary academy catering to the refugee and underprivileged communities.

In 2014 what began as a single class of 24 students hosted within another school, has since become an international oriented “Alternative Learning Center” with more than 140 students from over 28 countries. The Academy is now housed in a 5-story building with multiple classrooms for a maximum capacity of 300 students and equipped with an ICT room, a science lab, a library, and a multi-purpose canteen. A dedicated team of full-time experienced educators form the backbone of the Academy. The curriculum followed is the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, coding classes and iTrain certification.

In short, at Ideas Academy, all students have a genuine chance to leave with internationally recognised IGCSE certification and coding skills.

Many students have already advanced their studies or started their careers, of which the majority in the IT sector.

With the pandemic, Ideas Academy has adapted its structure, facilities and methodologies to accommodate the need and trend of digitalised learning. We have equipped all our classrooms with the IT hardware and software necessary to offer online and physical learning simultaneously.

All our teachers are Google Educators certified and operate online learning through the various Google applications.
